Brief Narrative Description of the Project: 

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved the Project Preparatory Technical Assistance (PPTA) to help the government of Mongolia prepare the Regional Road Development and Maintenance Project. The project is expected to have three main outputs, which will be further developed, refined, and finalized during the PPTA implementation. The project outputs are:

Output 1: Eastern Regional Road Corridor (ERRC). Construction of a 276 km road section between Baruun–Urt and Bichigt is proposed. 
Output 2: Sustainable road asset management system is established and priority road maintenance and rehabilitation works are implemented. 
Output 3: Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Development. The project will support establishment of a project implementation unit (PIU), assess and define capacity development needs of government and private stakeholders , and assist the government to oversee preparation and implementation of the project

Description of Actual Services provided by the firm: Monconsult is in charge of mobilization of 10 national experts and support staff for design of the Eastern Regional Roads Corridor and preparation of the road maintenance strategy with emphasis on the priority investment program.
